Breakfast … Chakalaka with bread

Below is a suggestion for a diet breakfast for work or school. You can, of course, eat them wherever you want. Chakalaka with bread contains tempeh, which is a fermented Indonesian delicacy that is prepared from soybeans or other legumes.

Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 40 g onion
  • 5 g garlic
  • 40 g carrots
  • 80 g green peppers
  • 80 g red pepper
  • 200 g tomato passata
  • 100 g tempeh
  • 5 g rapeseed oil
  • 2 g coriander
  • 2 g curry powder
  • 45 g wholemeal bread

Preparation

Heat the rapeseed oil in a pan and fry the diced onion, garlic and carrots. Then add the pepper cut into thicker cubes, add the curry and tomato passata and stew everything together for 5 minutes.

Chop the tempeh into cubes and add to the whole, leaving it on the fire for a while. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the cooked chakalaca with freshly chopped coriander. Add wholemeal bread to the meal. Enjoy your meal!
